N.A.G. (Network Auralization for Gnutella) is a waste of time.  Even with the two plus hours I wasted with the software. I can’t seem to turn it off.  I feel like I’m slipping into schizophrenia.  I hear voices.  The voices are all voices that I recognize, but I can’t make sense of them.

Ok, here’s the deal.  This program which can be downloaded at is a little program that runs on OSX and Win2k/XP (if anybody still uses windows).  What happens is, you enter a search string for, usually an audio clip.  I chose Tupac.  It then proceeded to connect through the Gnutella network to 25 MP3s with Tupac in the name.  It then started to play through the songs one second at a time.  It can play up to eight songs at once if you have the ear for it.  So, I was listening and thinking, “That is a grea...Oh, I like th...I never heard that bef...Stop changing so fa...” and on and on.  Right now, “Thugs Mansion” is playing, one

I’ve never heard that song before and after I finish typing this, I will have still not heard it.  Well, not all at one stretch.

Check it out.  It’s free.

I’m scared

Yeah, the Blackout of 2003 made me a consumer again.
I’ve been shopping for a generator.  One like this one .  Of course I want the biggest and best generator that I can find.  Actually, I want an alternator.  See, a generator creates DC electricity; an alternator creates AC power.  I want this unit to power my house COMPLETELY.  I don’t want to have to make the decision to sacrifice the front room TV because it can only provide power for essential things like the computers.  I want the generator to run both refridgerators, my stereos, all of the computers, the routers, and be able to sell some excess power to my neighbors.

But, because I am broke, I will have to settle for an alternator that only supplies enough power to run a few crucial items in the house.  Anybody know a crack-head that has one for sale, on the cheap-cheap?
