Stars set for Ray Charles funeral

Too bad Reagan stole Mr. Charles’ thunder.  This would have been real news.  Republican administration: Republican death?  TOO MUCH NEWS COVERAGE!

Stevie Wonder will play with Willie Nelson and BB King

Soul legend Stevie Wonder, country star Willie Nelson and blues singer BB King have announced they will give a musical tribute at singer Ray Charles’ funeral.

Charles, one of the most influential post-war US singers, died on Thursday aged 73 after battling liver disease.

Wonder, King and Nelson will play as a trio at the funeral on Friday.

Singer Glen Campbell will also be at the funeral, at a Los Angeles African American gospel church. The coffin will be on public display on Thursday.

‘Moving goodbye’

The funeral will take place at the First African Methodist Episcopal Church a day after the coffin is displayed at the Los Angeles Convention Center for fans to pay their respects.
