Vegas passengers forced to go through second screening in Burbank.

I bet the passengers were ANGRY!

*An entire plane load of people may hate Paula Abdul even more than Simon Cowell after her actions at a Las Vegas airport Thursday (Mar 2) led to an extra security procedure in California.

The “American Idol” judge, whom Cowell referred to last week as “a precocious little child,” was allowed to board a plane at the McCarran International Airport in Vegas without going through security, which prompted the mandatory screening of all passengers and luggage upon the flight’s arrival in Burbank. An airport employee allowed Abdul and a companion to pull a Remy Ma and walk around the metal detectors before boarding the Southwest Airlines flight, according to Elaine Sanchez, a spokeswoman for McCarran International Airport.

Federal Transportation Safety Administration officials were alerted to the security breach while the plane was in the air.  The person who took Abdul past the checkpoint worked for an airport tenant, but not Southwest, said Sanchez, who could not confirm reports that the worker was trying to help Abdul avoid a throng of fans. “We’re conducting an internal investigation to see who exactly was responsible,” said TSA spokeswoman Jessica Altschul.
